Growing up, our surname TOPETE was so unusual that as a family we actually "talked" about legally changing our apellido. What were we thinking? of course we were just kids.

Practically everyone I know refers to me or calls me by my last name, TOPETE. No one bothers to call me by my first name. Be it at work, church or with friends I'm 'TOPETE'.
