Check out this song from Brazil in cool "Sertanejo" style. Needless to say this song is in Portuguese the title is "Quebra Topete" by the group Trio Parada Dura. I had to listen to it like 10 times to hear the words "Quebra Topech". I understand some of the words and the song speaks about a miner's life part of which may be occassionally "cracking your skull" by bumping yourself. There is a clear "Quebra Tope(ch)te" instance at precisely 1:30 minutes into the song... Enjoy!

After initial research and verification from various legitimate sources[?] , I have discovered and proved that our unique surname is from a region that we now call both Portugal [?] and España.[?] One must keep in mind that nations did not exist as they do now nor did they have the same borders we have come to accept in the last 100 years or so. Example: As recently as 1848 the northern third part of Mexican territory was seized by the United States in the war that we call the Mexican War and Mexicans call the North American Invasion. (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, etc). See Map.
TOPETE is referenced by the Spanish to have originated from Portugal. The Portuguese say that they do not know where we TOPETE's came from. Confused? So am I. Research is ongoing. I will have a broader narrative on this matter in the very near future as I add content to the site..
